As part of our portfolio, Bourne End Marina is a well-established marina offering well placed moorings, facilities and boat cranage services in a beautiful riverside setting on the Thames.
We are looking for a practical, customer-focused Marina Assistant to support the Marina Manager with day-to-day operations of Bourne End Marina.
What you’ll be doing
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide excellent customer service, handling enquiries and sales in the chandlery
- Safely dispense fuel and assist with sewage pump‑out facilities
- Clean and maintain toilets, showers and communal areas
- Support general maintenance and basic boat care tasks
- Carry out daily safety inspections and maintain safe marina environments
- Ensure pontoons, walkways and moorings are clean, clear and well presented
- Assist the Marina Manager with daily operations across the marina
What we’re looking for
- Practical, hands-on approach with the ability to carry out general maintenance tasks
- A strong awareness of health and safety and a responsible approach to work
- Good customer service skills and confidence dealing with a range of people
- Ability to work independently and use initiative, while supporting the wider team
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Marina, boating, or waterside experience is advantageous, but not essential - full training will be provided for the right candidate
- A positive, reliable, and proactive approach
What we offer
- Competitive salary of £28,000 – £30,000, depending on experience
